Garden Street

To convert a 200 year old village house within an urban conservation area into a home with a ground floor studio. When purchased the house was completely depilated and consisted of many small rooms typical of a farmhouse cluster. Brief: The site being an L-shape lent itself to the opportunity to merge both old and new structure. With the main structure and original features retained, the typical courtyard reinstated and the stone walls restored to their former glory. The new section on a higher level houses a contemporary kitchen, dining and semi covered pool. The accordion doors allows the space to be completely open to the back garden and the space enjoyed uninterrupted.
